You let your passenger know that the weather isn't good enough for the flight. He is disappointed, but indicates that he will take the scheduled IFR flight departing later in the afternoon. Your boss calls you into his office and lets you know that the weather seemed suitable for the first flight. He talks for a little while about the challenges of northern flying, and says that not everyone is cut out for this kind of work. He indicates that he does not want to second guess a pilot's decision making, but if he sees a pattern of backing away from flights, then he will have to look for someone else.
